Getting Started

1. Log in to your LeadMagic account

2. Navigate to "Email Tools" > "Email Validation"

Validation Methods

• Bulk Upload: Upload CSV, Excel, or text file and map the email column

• API: Integrate with our REST API. Find those details at docs.leadmagic.io

Credits

• 1 credit = 4 email validations | You only pay for valid, valid catch-all, and invalid email addresses found.

• Monitor your credit usage in your account dashboard

Understanding Results

Validation Status Codes

Valid: Safe to email - Bounce rate <1% - Email verified by mail server. Costs 0.25 credits.

Invalid: Do NOT email - Will bounce - Mail server confirmed non-existent. Costs 0.25 credits.

Unknown: Inconclusive - Could not determine validity - Couldn’t reach mail server or domain is unverifiable. FREE (no charge).

Additional Data Returned

• MX Record: Mail exchange record for the domain

• MX Provider: The email service provider (Gmail, Microsoft, etc.)

• Domain: The domain portion of the email address

Best Practices

• Validate emails before adding to your CRM

• Refresh validation status before major campaigns

• Set appropriate tolerance levels based on your goals
